Tanalised pressure treated timber is timber which has been impregnated with special wood preservative under rigidly controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant. Tanalising has exceptional preservative properties for timber exposed to, or in contact with moisture.
This process ensures that the preservative goes much further into the timber than could ever be achieved by traditional methods of brushing, spraying or dipping. Initially this will prove more expensive, but will require far less maintenance and last much longer than the alternatives, also providing effective long-term protection against fungal and insect attack.
points to note.
Tanalised timber is available throughout our range. At 18% extra cost, we tanalise the cladding (4 sides) and floor rails. We use standard (untanalised) 12mm tongue and groove in floor and roof to avoid unnecessary extra expense.
All tanalised sheds are made with thicker floor rails (45x45mm) as standard.
Available in natural green colour or brown, blending perfectly with nature
Tanalised sheds are ideal for those who have restricted access or are unable to treat the shed regularly, as these sheds last many years without the worry of treatment.
